View Full Version : Whats the best way to slim down and get defined ?

I'm pretty new to weight lifting as I've only been into it a couple of months and haven't been to the gym for a few weeks. At the moment I'm more interested in muscle definition so I'm looking to cut down on my body fat. I know that losing fat and building muscle don't quite go hand in hand but should I still train while I'm doing cardio?
My friend who trains says its best to do aerobic exercise first thing in the morning before breakfast. He says this is more effective for fat loss. Is this true and why is this? I've got a layer of fat on my stomach and chest that I'm meaning to get rid of as quickly as possible.
Should I just get rid of all the sh*t in my diet or go for the low-carbs option?

Any tips would be appreciated

fix your diet first.

It doesn't really matter when you do cardio, but I wouldn't do it right before lifting.

Keep lifting.
