nice.

i remember once i was doing "light weight" on squats i was just doing sets of 10 with 350.

then i decided to just go balls to the wall on my 4th set and pumped out 21, i racked the weights, then the room started spinning and my legs were dying, then i just collapsed breathing like johng goodman after running a mile, and i laid there for about 5 mins and i had so many people walk up to me asking if i was ok and offering me water, then about 3 guys helped me up and sat me on a bench, needless to say about 45 mins later after i got myself back together i hobbled out of the gym and back home and went to bed, great night..

sorry for the long story but way to go dude

i wish i could train like that. i barely do 9 sets of squats and leg press and i overtrain easily. so now i just do squats...

One time I was doing dumbell kickbacks with the 15s, I thought I could get a 4th rep, but I only got it half way up, and that's the last thing I remember before waking up in the hospital!

While I was training...back in the day when I was in college, we had about a three week perios at the begining of the season where we did sets of 20 reps. Went 3X20 @ 365 my senior year. Never did pass out, but got very "weak in the knees" and did need the garbage can. Threw up after the third set. Yes....squats rule!!!!

Wow, 3 sets of 20 using 365, if it was proper form that would make you one of the strongest people on the planet.

What's wrong with you wimps? I did 24 sets of 23 at 413 pounds and I didn't manage to pass out...

try running 12 400m intervals under 60 with a 90 second rest...
u might not pass out but if there is a gun available you might just kill yourself

I always thought that was rather fun, if rather puke inducing.

Much more fun than long distance, in fact.

Perhaps that's why I like playing sprinting sports rather than running.

I bet those were 1/4 squats. Since he thought he was doing real squats, the placebo effect made him puke.

I had a friend once who never smoked weed. Someone gaver her one puff to take and as soon as she finished it, she said she had the munchies.

This one time, (in band camp) I forgot to breathe while doing high cable flies and the room got dark and I fell to my knees. It was actually kind of neat. Now I've progressed to the point where I'm skilled enough to breathe AND cable fly -- at the same time!

I don't find this to be so unreasonable. 365X 20 would put a person at around a 585 squat. Has no one in the world squatted 585? Or more for that matter? At the time I was a little over 600# squatter. 3 sets at about 5 minutes rest in between isn't all that monsterous. Were they all perfect reps...prolly not. The first set was dead on. The second two sets were at or just above parrelel.

geoffgarcia----I hear you. I remember the mid-distance guys on the team pulling workouts like that. Always looked like fun to us throwers who never sprinted above 100M. We never understood what was so fun about running, you know? Then again...the runners looked at us like freaks in the weight room.

Doing squats I have never passed out, but I have blown chunks outside the gym after.
