as long as you get sufficient carbs I dont think it would make that much of a difference either way

IMO if you could grind up the oatmeal and add it to a shake it would digest faster than the pasta and you could have it immediately after a workout to stop the loss of muscle due to cortisol and start recovery
why not drink them ?
have you tried maltodextrin and dextrose ?

As a post-workout meal, I say Pasta.

Well, if you grind up the pasta it would digest faster than the oatmeal so...:D.
