This squat was still above parallel for use of overloading your squat and learing to handle heavier weight. but as you can see still had more in the gas tank on this lift. The pause squats will back you strong. phil .thanks lene and shawna.http://www.lentv.net/910_pause_chains.htm

File isn't in the right directory.
EDIT: Actually, none of the links I've tried on that page have worked. Are the movie files in the home directory?
Dammit I wanted to see it too. It just half loaded and quit.

Try this: http://www.lentv.net/MOV00747.MPG
I think it's the start="fileopen" code that isn't working.

The chains are used to gage depth. They do not have anyting to do with the weight. We also use other heights low and high to determine depth during different workout cycles. That 910 was a full 910lbs!!!
Thanks Lil Mendy this West Side stuff is new to me. So was that the right depth its hard to tell on the video. Good Motivational stuff maybe I can do 400 one day lol

Bill, the chains are used to vary the depth of your squat. The chains allow the powerlifter to work specific parts of the ROM with varying loads. Stopping a few inches short on depth and using a heavier load allows you to get the feel for the weight on your back and to overload the involved muslces. It is essentially the "partials" concept (in this case the ROM was just short of full depth).
Thanks Chris for breaking that down. I think if I took chains to where I go the would call the police. lol
