The past couple weeks ive been having some problems gaining weight. I weigh about 155 lbs right now and want to increase that to around 165-170 in 1-2 months. however, everytime i eat my body seems to juyst digest all my food out! im startin to get pissed because I eat 4, 6, even 8 times a day usually but my body just ****s it all out! Am i doing something wrong here?

p.s.-as youve probably already guessed, my metabolism is high

How much ya eating?

If it's not enough - eat more.

However many calories you are eating, increase it by 200. Keep it at those calories forr a week. If you aren't gaining weight then, repeat the process every week until you are.

It helps to track you calories and know how much you are eating. Just eating more times won't make a difference if you aren't increasing your overall calories. You can easily track your diet here. (www.fitday.com)

ok well im taking in about 2200-2400 calories a day....eating 4-6 times a day. But like everytime i eat, i feel like a gotta **** and it sucks. Should i just keep eating everything i see?

Increase to 2600 and assess from there. If not gaining, increase to 2800 Calories. You can go the eat everything in site route, but be aware that faster weight gain may lead to a lot of fat gain as well.

thats how I used to be. I used to pee 6 times and poop 2 times a day. Just continue your eating habit and you'll gain. ohh and by the way, it takes more that weeks.

10-15 lbs in 1-2 months is possible.....but erm....its going to be mostly all fat. A good rate of lean gain is 1-2lbs per week max. I think most folks are realistically happy gaining 0.5lbs per week of muscle.

anyhow...im lighter than you and eat 2600 cals a day. Ill be popping up to 2800 this time next week if im not gaining weight. so you need to yum down more food.

also if you are eating 2x as much you will be shi****g 2x as much. your body absorbs only the nutrients from your food and gets rid of rest. i poop 1 or 2 times a day. thats actually a GOOD healthy sign.

alright thanks everyone...hows this sound for a daily calorie intake.

1g of protein=4 calories
1g of carbs=4 calories
1g of fat=9 calories

Im planning on taking 375g of carbs a day, 225g of protein a day, and 67g of fat for a total of 3000 calories a day. sound good?

oh and if anyone has any good shakes or somethin i could use the recipe. any help ais appriciated. :)

I don't know where you're at, but if you happen to be next close to a Trader Joe's grocery, their whey protein is pretty good and the cheapest out there in my experience.

2400 calories is nothing. If I eat less than that, I lose weight!

What does your training look like? Perhaps if you can abbreviate it a little, you can save up some calories for growth.

my training consists of no cardio except 5 min warm-up. I'm using Anthony Ellis's gain mass program and i also work with a trainer. I just wish there was somethin out there to slow my damn metabolism down
