Hey guys - I'm on week 6 of my bulking phase and I've gained around 7 lbs (went from 176-183). I've been getting a little self conscious about my growing waistline so yesterday I started taking 500 mg green tea extract and 200 mg caffeine (guarana extract)-- WHILE ON CREATINE BTW. I plan on bulking for 4 more weeks but I wanted to get the heads up on supplements for once I start cutting.

Specifically, is anyone familiar with the following supplements:

TRIBEX - supposedly the "king of testosterone boosters"

Red Kat - "the ultimate male stimulant"

Adenergy - claims to increase strength, energy, lean muscle mass and vascularity; does it really enhance vascularity?

Lastly, I wanted to know if I should just stick to a homemade ECA stack to cut-- I know a lot of these "extra" supplements are a waste of money.

Thanks,
KJ

My approach which has worked incredibly well is caffeine, green tea extract @ 270mg ECGC, 2g before bed glutamine and double am and pm seessions of long cardio. No pain no gain.

Worthless.

Worthless.

Green Tea & ECA with a good diet will get you the results you want.

Yes, homemade ECA is the way to go.

If anything, it will give you a slight boost in the gym. They have no effect on recovery ability.

Or, you could try the new Thermocin which is in the ad at the top of this forum. It is simple to take, specifically formulated (no guesswork as to dosage like a homebrew), and very effective. Give it a try and let us know what you think.

I've been stacking my caffeine with green tea. Where can I order ephedrine and is it really as unsafe as people make it out to be?

you cant use ephedra while on creatine cuz ephedra causes a diuretic effect which compleltly reverses the effect of creatine.

So, if you are cutting, you should drop the creatine if using an ECA supplement?

yes u cant have both together. so for cutting use the ec stack and for bulking use just use the creatine and for a lean bulk just add in some like green tea, yohimbe stack dont remember if caffeine has an affect on creatine

So what?

One doesn't use creatine for the added water weight, nor does one use ephedra for the decrease in water weight.

You can take creatine and a thermogenic and not have one cancel out the other.

Hey chris can you expand on this. The way i see it is you take creatine to gain water weight. But the caffeine in the ECA will make you lose water weight.

You don't take creatine to gain water weight. Of course, you DO gain water weight, but that isn't the purpose of the supplement.

The caffeine is a diuretic, so it will cause you to shed some water weight, but again this isn't the purpose of the supplement.

When both are taken together, the water weight effects basically negate each other, but the supplements are still "working".

I don't see how creatine can work if you don't gain water weight. I mean...you get the extra energy from those extra pounds of water dont you?
