View Full Version : How Much Cardio?

When I heard about excessive cardio can burn muscle, I got worried than I could be losing my gains by doing cardio. I do about 20 minutes running at 6 mph then 5 minutes of walking at 3.5 mph. I do this about 5/6 times a week. My stats are in my signature.

Is this too much? Am I killing any of my muscle gains? How can I improve my cardio frequency?

If you are eating enough you will still gain weight. Poor diet is what typcially kills your gains, not too much cardio. It is not as easy to go overboard on cardio/weights as a lot of people here think. Just make sure you eat enough, I see no problems with that much cardio.
