Ok, I know that dextrose is the best pwo carb source but I can't find it at my local stores and I can't order it online. I don't know what to do. My price range is limited so most of the GNC products are also out. The only options that I have found are Gatorade powder or twin labs ultra fuel. Both of these are only made up of part dextrose and ultra fuel says that is a complex carbohydrate. Which one should I mix with my protein and creatine for pwo or is there another cheap alternative?

Gatorade also has electrolytes while ultra fuel has none. Don't know if that makes much difference though.

Not a big deal.
Just take a tablespoon of Aunt Jemaima Syrup - primarily glucose

http://www.supplementdirect.com/ has it, but beware of the shipping charges.
You can also check your local brewery (if you have one nearby).

I can't order it online
then find a friend or neighbor or something that can...
otherwise just get a protein powder that already has it included, these are a dime a dozen...

I got 7lbs of Malto Dextrin for 16 bucks shipped through 1fast400, they accept paypal even. I suggest you find someone you know who'll let you use their card and buy your supps online.

I went to two home brewing suppliers today, and neither had dextrose, but they had maltodextrin, which I bought. Malto might be overkill, but I'll give it a shot for a few months, just for grins. A bit pricey at $5 a pound, but if it seems to make any difference, I'll buy more, like mentioned above. I have been using Gatorade powder.
I was gonna start a thread on it, but I just have a quick question. How do I measure it? Is it about 5g (20 calories) per teaspoon like most powders? It is very fine powder, so I was concerned it would be more concentrated, given the same volume.

Yeah, but I had the day off, and it was more of a small roadtrip adventure than anything else. Curiosity and all that.

I think smartees are made with dextrose.
