What would be better... Drink water, diet coke, and chew gum for 5 hours or just eat something crappy like a burger or hot dog?

If forced to do one or the other I'd eat the crappy food rather than eat nothing at all.

I wouldn't put myself in that situation often though.

I would take the dog or burger, one time isn't going to make a difference and it is better then not eating anything and making your body suffer.

This situation comes up at most sporting events, at a bar/club, on vacation while out for long periods of time, like shopping with women :bash:...

Ya but there should be a lot more choices then a burger and a hot dog. Most malls have a dozen places to eat with 3 or 4 of them offering some sort of healthy food. It is pretty hard not to find something half way healthy unless you are in the middle of the desert and all you brought was a hamburger and a hot dog...

Eating Crap is BY FAR the better choice, particularly while bulking. If you're cutting, you can probably get away with going a while without food occasionally, but if you're trying to put on weight or gain strength, you better eat that crap and enjoy it. It's nowhere near as bad for you as most people think it is, and it may even help

Burritos kick ass. That's one of my favorite meals. Two burritos and a glass of milk = 1100 calories. :D

Unless you're in your last couple weeks pre-contest, I don't think this dilemma is that much to worry about. Go ahead and eat if you're hungry. Throw away the bun if you're on low-carb. Throw away the patty if you're carbing up. Problem solved.

There's never been a time, bulking or cutting, where I've not been able to get something healthy. If I haven't already planned ahead and am just tossed into a situation, I can still find something better than crap to eat.

Cutting or not, I feel something is better than nothing.
