I believe that I suffer from lower than average testerone levels for a normal 19 year old. My sex drive is low, I'm not agressive at all, I'm very passive and I always feel lethargic after workouts. At this point in time I don't have anyway of getting any tests done. I don't feel comfortable talking to the doctor about this kind of thing and my parents would ask questions if I started having bloodwork done.
I know where I can get my hands on some test and I'm wondering if there is any danger of injecting say 100mg per week for just a few weeks. I'm curious if it would make me feel better, stronger etc. If there are any risks of my own test production being shutdown then I'm not really interested in trying this. Being that it is such a small dose, I'm curious to see if I would feel any different. If I do, then I would like to see the doctor and have things checked out.
You should have your doctor check you out first and discuss your concerns with him before taking matters into your own hands. At least find out if you really suffer from low test levels first. It could be other factors in your personal life that might be affecting you other than your hormone levels. Just tell your doc your concerns and ask him to give you a script to get bloodwork done for a hormone profile. Also you are an adult now so anything you tell your doc should and will remain confidential. It's called doctor-patient confidentiality. Your doc has to keep it on the under unless you say otherwise.
As for your question on being shut down, the answer is yes. Your body's own hormone production will be shut down if you start administering any type of exogenous testosterone.

I had a blood test done about two months ago when I went to the doctor complaining of a lack of energy. He tested for things like iron, blood glucose and ketone levels. Everything on the test turned out okay. Would hormone levels be on a test like that? I think I'll call him up on Monday and ask him if he still has the test results and find out.

You have to specifically ask him to take a blood test to find out hormone levels.
Most likely you'll have to do another blood test. Ask him to do a complete hormone profile on you. Tell him you want to check your endocrine system to see if there is anything wrong with you hormonally. He'll know what to do. Good luck bro and hope things turn out okay.

Coleman , I doubt it's your test levels . But check with your doctor before starting the gear .

check with the doc. at the very least ull find out exactly whats wrong and if it were ur test levels. at least the gear would be obtained legally and safely

take some vitamins (take a multivitamin, plus a Vitamin B 100 complex), eat healthier foods, and do some cardiovascular exercise (jogging, play basketball, ride a bike, etc..)
I would bet you $100 if you started jogging just a mile a day, 3 days/week you would start feeling better. Its amazing what stimulating the body naturally can do.

oh and doing 100mg/week of test would be dumb.. it would just shut down your natural production so you would feel worse when you got off. And you're way too young to be on Hormone Replacement Therapy. When you hit 50, start on some HRT (HGH & Test = fountain of youth)
