Firstly if you can't grow without steroids you will lose ALL your gains post cycle as you don't know your body well enough to maintain them.

Secondly if you build your confidence through drug use which you will lose when you try to stop the drugs you force yourself into a spiral of unhealthy drug use as you will keep going back or staying on steroids. When used in the long term these drugs will absolutely effect your health.

I suggest posting your diet and your training in the proper forms and get some help on those specificly.

Secondly I would suggest speaking with someone professionally if your having self esteem issues to such a degree. It can be very difficult to work through on your own so don't be offended by my suggestion.

Lastly I've trained my fair share of guys and there is no such thing as a person who can't gain weight. There are only people who think they eat alot and don't make it a mission to eat what is necessary day in and day out.

Remember your only in the gym for 1 hour a day where there are still another 23 hours to build muscle in the day. Diet is more important than training! You need to train hard yes but your robbing yourself of 70% of your results by not eating properly

Not knowing what the orginal post was and I doubt the poster will come back to read this but to anybody...

We are harsh about AAS use because its a very sersious subject. This isn't just like adding a few extra calories to your diet or trying the new diet pill. This stuff can have very serious side effects when used improperly. We tend to be mean because it really isn't something to joke about and take light-heartedly. Steriods aren't some miracle drug in any sense of the imagination. The guys that use should know their bodies extremely well and know even more about what they are putting into their bodies.

I didnt see any insults?
All I saw was some REALLY good advice from severedties.
Wish the original post was there, so I knew what exactly he said.

But the number 1 problem with people not making gains, is them not being truly committed to bodybuilding, which means a precisely monitered diet & work out routine, along with plenty of rest, & no alcohol for best results.

Its a science to learn how your body reacts to different training, exercises & diets. Everyone is different so you can't just go read some musclemag, do a routine & get big. You have to customize your routine, diet, etc. Keep written track of your workouts, diet, etc... and see where/when you're making your best gains and refine it to maximize your gains. Then switch it up every few months to spur some more results.

Anyway, the point is AAS can make up for a crappy routine and diet, but only temporarily and your results would not be as good as if you were truly dedicated. You'd get on the blow up/shrink cycle that non-dedicated people often get on. Now if you're truly dedicated for a long peroid of time steroids can help you to maximize your dedication and break past natural plateaus.

The main post was that the person had been working out for only about 4 months, and had a confidence complex from being small. (140 lbs if memory serves). He was asking about gear usage.

There were no insults, I guess the first two posts pissed him off.

ok... then his problem is probably the number 2 problem with people "not making gains" - impatience. Many people are actually making gains (just small gains), but dont look at the big picture and realize it just takes time & to be patient. That goes back to my other advice... keep written records... and you can actually see your progress better.
