I was buying bread today and there was no potato bread  I don't particularly like wheat bread, and definitely do not eat white. Anyway, it made me think about the nutritional value of potato bread.

Any thoughts???

Thanx,
Jos

I never even heard of it, but now I am curious. How does it taste? Can you get it anywhere?

If I am not mistaken, it's made from potato flour and white flour. It tastes not unlike white bread, with some potato flavor. It's not bad tasting, but I would stay away fom it for dietary reasons.

IdaMAN,

Here in NY you can the potato bread at any store, big or small. I like the taste of it.

I was just reading Minotaur's (btw, thanx) response to my ?. He said that it's made from potato flour and white flour, not good.

Another one of my few pleasures shot to hell, lol

Use it for a cheat or free day, or reward. You can freeze bread so it won't go moldy. Get as much air out of the bag as possible; the slices separate easily and take a few minutes to defrost and warm up. It will also keep fairly long in the refrig.
