All the prep I did at my home and evacuated outside the city and Charley decides to make a last minute turn and move away.

Consider yourself lucky then. I heard there were many people who evacuated inland and actually moved into the path of the storm. I also heard of an area where the police are guarding over "stacks" of bodies. It doesn't look good.

So you're pissed off that the hurricane didn't demolish your town?

Darn, man. Too bad you didn't have your life wrecked like all those other folks, huh? ;)

HAHA I didnt say i wanted it to. Just its a close call. You just didnt see the traffic leaving the city and the panic in people just crazy. It was all for naught for about 350,000 people who evacuated to where the hurricane ended up. Ill be seeing it first hand, my company has a volunteer squad for natural disasters in Florida.

I live in Valrico and i stayed at my house i got lucky i think we all did in the tampa bay area. We were grilling out with neighbors next door and getting all liquored up after the storm passed it wasn't raining so we lit up a bon fire in the back yard LMAO it was alot of fun. But seriously we got really really lucky to not even be scathed by the power of cat 4 winds and rain, no all we have to worry about is this other one headed for cuba and pretty much the same direction as charley. :lurk:

The president said that he's going to look for this Charley character and make him pay for what he did to Florida.

That sound like a Leno joke, or did you make that one yourself?

Well he is right...The boarded up windows and all the traffic jams and accidents and mayhem were for nothing. BUt
It does not compare to a town that was NOT prepared for anything geting slammed by a strong Category 4 Hurricane. We WERE going to head to Orlando which got destroyed and headed to Atlanta instead. I will actually be able to tell you what it looks like first hand soon.I have an uncle that was given the Contract for Orlando from FEMA (FLorida Emergency Management Association) to clean up Orlando.and they need front end loader operators so My cousin and I are heading there..
They are going to be running 24/7 for the next 2 months at their estimation...
I count myself lucky...
