View Full Version : EAS Kick Start....
I bought a whole box of EAS' Kick Start the other day and every single time I look at that big box sitting on top of my dresser I get hyped up to workout. You mix the **** with water 10 minutes or so before a workout and it improves mental function and intensity. The thing is is that it WORKS! So far I've had great workouts every time I've taken it post-workout. Great product.

Sounds like a placebo effect to me, but maybe it actually does do something.

It does do something. I know this because so far I've had two workouts where I just couldn't get hyped up at all. Like I really didn't even want to work out, I was just kind of tired and not in the mood. I took this stuff and felt more energized and I ended up having a great workout. Couldn't have all been in my head because I wasn't even hyped up to begin with.

WHat's in the stuff? I've seen the ads, but it really just makes me wonder what's in it?

L-Tyrosine
Tyrosine is a nonessential amino acid that is synthesized in the body from phenylalanine. As a building block for several important brain chemicals, tyrosine is needed to make epinephrine, norepinephrine, serotonin, and dopamine, all of which work to regulate mood. Deficiencies in tyrosine, therefore, have been associated with depression. Tyrosine also aids in the production of melanin (pigment responsible for hair and skin color) and in the function of organs in the body responsible for making and regulating hormones, including the adrenal, thryroid, and pituitary glands. Tyrosine is also involved in the synthesis of enkephalins, substances that have pain-relieving effects in the body.
Low levels of tyrosine have been associated with low blood pressure, low body temperature, and an under active thyroid. This does not mean, however, that taking tyrosine supplements will avoid these particular circumstances.
Because tyrosine binds unstable molecules (called free radicals) that can potentially cause damage to the cells and tissues, it is considered a mild antioxidant. Thus, tyrosine may be useful for people who have been exposed to harmful chemicals (such as from smoking) and radiation.

Alpha Glyceryl Phosphoryl Choline (cx-GPC)
alpha-GPC is indicated for situations in which increased human growth hormone secretion is desirable and for the treatment of cognitive disorders. Evidence is insufficient to warrant support for either of these claimed indications at this time.

Caffeine Anyhdrous
Caffeine is a central nervous system stimulant drug used as an aid to stay awake, for mental alertness due to fatigue, as an adjunct with other drugs for pain relief, and as a power and energy accelerate.
I wasn't even aware of what the other two ingredients did, but as I expected, the "boost" is from the caffeine (and the caffeine only).
It works, trust me.

I never said it didn't...I just said you could buy caffeine pills for like $5 that do the same thing.

How are you measuring "mental function"? I think you're basically drinking a giant cup of coffee. But if it works for you and you can afford it then all the power to you.

How am I measuring "mental function" ? I can concentrate better, a lot better, especially in the middle of a strenous heavy excersize. My mind does not wander at all.

Just pay $2.19 and try the ****. You can't be that poor.

I don't need a "kick start" or "mental boost"...I have enough focus when I go to the gym without needing any magic supplements to do the trick.

If he's happy with it and he can afford it then he can stick to it, go for it bro dont buy the caffeine since you already like this one and it seems to work for you. Even if it is hype and a placebo effect thats still good cuz u feel better and thats whats important.
