View Full Version : Another sumo ?
Maybe C. Mason can help. I read some where that he Chris I mean uses sort of a half sumo on deadlifts. Then I also read that Ed Coan does like something between a sumo and convential. Well does anyone know what this means, where do you place the hands and just how would do this?
From what i've seen hands are placed a little wider then sumo grip and feet placement is right in the middle of the plates and center of the bar.
Thanks Adam. I messed up my back doing these today so it will a while before I can do them again.

The best way to start on these is to essentially do a conventional deadlift with your legs just outside your arms. This basically gives you a similar lift to a conventional, but without the knee-smacking problem. I find this more comfortable than conventional, and a bit stronger. (personal preference)
Thanks Belial my back is getting better so I can give it another go soon. lol
