Calories in Egg Whites

I am going to start eating 3 Large Egg Whites with 1 Large Whole egg for my 2nd meal of the day after I get done running/lifting, I was wondering what the calorie intake was for them? It cant be the 70 calories like a whole egg because you are cutting out the yolk. Anyone know the approximate calories in one egg white?

I searched on Fitday.com before I asked the question, then I searched a bit harder and found it. Good to know I can eat like 5 and be ok.

I always say it's 17 calories/egg white...I guess it depends on the size of the egg.

You need considerably more than 3 egg whites + 1 whole egg as a post-workout meal. If you're going to be chincy I "guess" that's enough protein, but you need carbs in there as well.

I make a protein drink with 1 cup of skim milk, 1 medium banana, and 2 scoops of whey protein for my breakfast that I drink before I workout. I drank it today before I ran and felt like I was going to throw up, so I am gonna run on a empty stomach and slam one as soon as I get back.

0.73g carbohydrates
10.90g protein
52 calories

The eggs I get usually have about 50g of egg white in them, so half a dozen is a nice 30g of protein.

Egg whites come in cartons too. 250ml and 500ml sizes. Way easier than crackin' a dozen and pickin' shells outta the bowl.

flats of 60 from costco...if I'm eating just the whites that lasts 4 meals

hi regenvelc, i hope u dont mind me using your thread to ask a related egg question, i just didnt wanna start a whole new thread for another egg question. the question is, what is the nutritional makeup of a standard egg, yolk and all? the eggs i buy seem to not have nutrition info on the carton, thanks!
