You won't be gaining a "solid" 2-3lbs/week. If you're gaining any more than about 1lb/week then it's probably some fat and water. Your calorie intake is quite low, so your metabolism probably is running pretty slow. To avoid excess fat gain, you should increase the calories by 200-300/week until you are at about 2500-3000. At this point, you'll want to guage your progress and see if you need more, less, or the same amount of calories.

You realize the "recommended" daily caloric intake is 2000 calories right? I'm about to start a cut and will be eating 2200 calories.

EAT MORE!

chicken, tuna, potatos, pasta, wheat bread, bagels, oats, eggs, turkey, vegetables, fruit.

The "recommended" anything is always way off for people who weighttrain. However, I just felt the need to point out that the "recommended daily caloric intake" is based on the average male, who supposedly weighs 154lbs at 5'10". The original poster is actually smaller than this, but nevertheless, needs to eat more.
