What's up guys? I've been lurking for a while, but as you can see, this is my first post. I am about to get back on my diet soon, and I have a simple question. Should I base my daily caloric intake off of my actual body weight or my lean body mass? Thanks in advance.
Brett
I think lean body mass is more accurate, but most people just typically use bodyweight. The generic formulas you see floating around the board are regarding bodyweight.

Quick responses here. I like that. I think I am going to use my lean body mass to cut. How should I break up my Macros? My lean body mass is about 180lbs. Does the following seem right? The following is based off of 1g of protein per lean body mass, 25% fats, and the rest in carbs:
180g Protein
225g Carbs
60g Fat
Should I go with this, or stick with a 40/40/20 breakdown? Thanks.
I'd prefer an isocaloric split, so:
180g protein
180g carbs
80g fat

I think I like the way that one looks more. Thanks for the help.
