when doing sets, do you do par example

bench 8 x 150 then immediately after 6 x 175 then 4 x 200 and so on (the examples are just examples they have no correlation to the question)

or do you do 8 x 150 bench

then say 8 x 100 of another exercise.

what im asking is whether it is better to alternate exercises between sets or just go through your workout exercises by exercise.

just wondering as ive been alternating between exercises ad its a pain changing the weight around, maybe im just stupid.:p

I, and everyone I know, go exercise by exercise.

Yeah, definitely stay on the exercise until all your sets are complete. Otherwise you are giving your muscle time to cool down and relax. You need to force the muscle to use up as many of the fibers as its got. To do this, hit all your sets in a row on the same exercise using enough weight to come to failure or close to (if you don't have a spotter).
