:hello: Iím back! Did you miss me?
Well since my last journal got buried somewhere I decided to start a new one.
After having some medical issues, being super busy, and putting on about 15 extra pounds, I think itís about time I start this working out thing again. :strong: Slowly.

Sunday Ėrun 20 blocks
Monday- Bellydance 1.5hrs
Tuesday- run 20 blocks

today i ran 20 blocks again,
why is it so hard to run on the street compared to treadmill? I swear I have no porblem running 40 minutes on a treadmill, but 2 blocks into running on a street and i'm ready to quit.

Yeah, the pavement kills my joints moreso than any machine. Do you find that to be the problem, or cardiovascular wise? You may be running faster and tiring quicker, as you do not have a set speed as on a treadmill.

You're supposed to run at a slight incline on treadmills to make it as difficult as running outside. :p

2am??? Were you running for thugs or something?

You should start timing yourself on your runs if you are running the same route. That would be the best way to track progress.

Yeah, you and chops should go together. You can jog to the mall and go shopping and then jog home. That way if anyone tries to mug you guys on your way home you can beat them with your new pumps.

Well what can i say the last two weeks havn't been very porductive, its midterms time, and I've been spending a lot of time at school and in front of books.
Last week i got some running in, but not very much.
This week I went horseback riding. My friend invited me with her and her cousins to go riding on the beach. the scenery was very pretty. But since I havn't been on a horse in over a year, I was in pain the next day especially my butt was sore.
Last night i sqeezed in 200 cunches, 10x3 curls (10lb), 10x3 shoulder press (20lb)
anyways after last night pathetic "workout" I realized how weak I got compared to my last journal, so the solution is obvious, but finding time to do it is a bit harder, but I have my hopes up.

Saturday I did same as above. I guess that went ok but I've been tired because I've been up since 530am. This weekend I'm taking motorcycle classes and that's starts at 645am :omg:
I need to go running but my knees hurt so bad after running, maybe i should do somethign else.

Rant: Bush won?! this country is weird. most people are against the war yet reelect a president that put us there and will keep it that way.But apparently them are a lot of Christians who still believe in crusades. Also i don't understand why there's such a big deal about gay marriage Its not like the gays are joint to marry you.

ok ok I'm back!

I've been posting my journal at another website, but I suppose I should keep this one alive as well.
This week has been good except for my diet, I have comepletely neglected it, and my calorie/portions have not been tracked. So starting tomorrow I'm going to go back to keeping track of it.
I've started working with a trainer 2x a week (about 4 weeks ago), and my bf went down from 27% to 23%, so I guess the 2-3 times that I actually make it to the gym does help.
I will be going to the ranch tomorrow and maybe the gym, if not then monday.

I also went to see my old Tae Kwon Do master, and he still remebers me, so I think I will go back in a couple of weeks when i'm done with my trianer. I got to see a sparing class, and those guys were being pushed a lot, sweating like crazy and master wouldn't let them stop. Just what I need

jog/walk don't know how far it was, maybe this weekend i'll drive it. I went fast walkedup the hill, and jogged back down. it took about 40minutes

I went to my first TKD practice since last year, and i thought i was prepared since i go to the gym and stuff, but i wasn't even close! Friday is a sparing class. so 1hr class had 10min of running, 20 jumping jacks, 30 ( but I only did 20) pushups the rest of the time was taken up by bouncing and kicking and avoiding being kicked. I was sweating buckets, and master said that it was an easy day because we just started, but not to expect that again :(
TKD is so much better than going to the gym

well that's a hard question :) About 5 yrs ago I started with this really old school master, but he had to close his studio about 6mo after i started (I think he was in business for like 20yrs before that) anyways, then a few years later, my univ. was offering TKD class for p.e. requirement, so I took it there for 2 semester, it was with the same master that I've started with again. There is a limit how many units you can take from p.e. department, so since i coulnd't take anymore TKD, I joined a TKD club to get some practice, but I didn't like it too much, and then I got so busy that I stopped going. Now a year later i'm back trying to finish what I started long time ago.
oh that was a long story for such a simple question. sorry.

on a side note, I am so sore right now, my calfs and butt are screaming in pain. it's such a good feeling :D

Well, all that kicking and sit-upping and push-upping and jogging and jumping jack-ing and bouncing sounds pretty good to me. :)
And it sounds like within a couple of weeks you're going to be pretty damned fit! hehe
That's weird that the same guy who closed his shop is instructing at the uni. Also, is the PE thing compulsory as part of your uni degree?

The guy teaching at the uni is not the same one as the one who had the studio. Anyways for a degree you don't need to take PE, but for general education you need some sort of PE or art or something similar.

Well today was good, I went to the gym, then i was writing my paper all day, then TKD in the evening, followed by Ramen (from a restaurant) and some good Kirin Beer

AM Gym:
12x2 elbow pushups
15x2 crunches on a ball
12x2 hip extensions on a ball
15x2 diagonal lunge with shoulder press(16lb) although, most of 1 set was at 20lb, but it was too heavy for me
15x2 push ups (1set manyly, 1 set girly)
15x1 ball cobra with db(16lb)
12x1 butterfly( I'll call it that for now, but i forget what it really is)
15x1 squats with db (20lb)

PM TKD
1hr sparring (including all the regualr stuff), i have 2 large bruises on my shins now

I managed to get out to the gym with my friend, and thereby procrastinating some more
I didn't do the whole routine, but I belive it's better than nothing

Workout:
15x2 ball sit-ups
15x2 ball hip extensions
15 push ups
25min eliptical
12x2 leg curl(30lbs) or whatever it was called
12x2 fly (20lbs)

25min bellydance practice

Shanie! havn't seen you here in a long time and to answer your question I have no idea what heart rate would be from dancing. But bellydance is on hold until july/august because it interferes with summer school :(
I havn't been to the gym since sunday because of finals and stuff, I suppose I should go soon.

Workout for today:
1hr of TKD: running, jamping jacks (40), sit ups (60), push ups (60) target kicking and punching. other stuff too good stuff.

Friday sparing- that went well, he was in a good mood and didn't kill us ;p but seriously we did the usual running, crunches, jamping jacks, pushups, then the rest of the time was devoted to proper attacks and responses, which was combination of kicks, including the one i can never do, the back kick. oh and I didn't get any bruises either, yey!

I had no time so I did the 24min circuit workout at 24hr fitness.

6/2/05
Tae Kwon Do usual brutal stuff

20x3 pushups ( half of them girly style)
20x3 sit ups, last 20 we had to reach the toes, that was a bit hard

TTT planks are almost like a pushups, except instead of extending your arms, you rest on your forearms, and try to keep your back straight without letting it drop or arch, hold as long as you can. makes sense? You should try it, they are fun

TKD was a killer today. But it felt sooooo goood

5min running and skipping and kicking, etc....
45min of full on sparing full of kicking and bouncing, I really enjoyed that!

Hey Getfit, I think I've seen you online as busy once

It's been a while. As always I've been busy.

Good News I am leasing a new horse!

Last thursday I went to ride Rocky, and that was ok

Sunday I went to the gym, but I already forgot what i did, all I remeber is it was 20min eliptical, then some weights

Monday I rode the new horse, and I think we might do well together. She is a little too much horse for me because I have never had a really big horse like that, but she tries really hard to please and do everything right.

Today I got out of class early so I went to the ranch, and did some ground work with Phoenix.
Then went to TKD class, we did 5min run, then 50jamping jacks, 30pushups and situps, stretch, kicking, jumping, punching, basically the usual :)

I don't know where my journal went, I actually had to search for it, because I didn't see it. Isn't that sad?

Well I still haven't been to the gym, but I've been to the ranch a lot, and TKD
I've actually been riding 3-4 times a week, and going to TKD 3x a week.

Today I had a promotion test in TKD, besides not being too confident in my skill, I also had to break boards (first time ever!) I'm very proud of myself, although it took me like 20 tries to ax kick to break one, I did side kick broke a board in 1 try. Yey me!

Ranch tomorrow, Phoenix is doing great

On Saturday I took my friend to the ranch and showed her how to ride.
Monday morning had a lesson with a trainer, but Phoenix decided that she didn't want to work and tried to get away from it by breaking into canter and "bunny hopping" instead of trotting. So the trainer and I had to work extra hard to get her to trot. Ahh the joy of working with animals. :rolleyes:

in the evening it was TKD. We got our new belts (green yey!) then the balckbelts and the master worked us really hard. 20 pushups, 50 jumping jacks, 20situps, kicking and punching.
