View Full Version : what to drink w/ meals

i'm kind of having a problem w/ deciding what to drink w/ my meals. i have a protein shake w/ one, maybe two meals daily, because i also have one after a workout, and one usually before bed, so i try not to have more than 3 a day, which leaves me with only one meal w/ a shake. i do not like to drink water w/ meals. past shakes / water, the only healthy drink i can think of, i guess besides v8, would be milk. unfortunately, i've been going through a gallon (literally) daily recently, and don't want to do that anymore, but dont' know what i should drink instead. i'm not concerned about the protein content necessarily, but i know that most if not all fruit drinks are no better than sugar and water nutritionally, so dunno what choices that leaves. also don't like soda, not that it's nutritionally viable eitehr

A lot of people use crystal light, but I think it tastes like ****. I usually have milk or water. :)

flavored water isn't too bad either. learn to like water dude.

I usually have an ice-tea with one meal, or I have a diet-soda ( not always ) on another meal. I always drink water but sometimes I need something else besides water, so I go for the ice-tea or diet soda.

Drink a diet soda. No cals, low sodium, generally good taste. I love Diet Pepsi Vanilla. 'Tis the bomb.

aren't the artificial sweeteners not good for you, or is that just one of those stupid things where it really isn't even remotely significant but people think it is?

Too much of anything is bad for you. If you're having one or two diet sodas a day, there's no harm in it.

water is WONDERFUL after a workout.

You can drink water with meals.

Don't worry about "digestion".

Water. Although i've been used to drinking loads of it even b4 i started lifting :)
