I like the footlong meatball on wheat myself. And am bulking. What are your favorites? Bulking or cutting?

10-11-2004, 07:30 PM
i used to love the italian. Now I eat healthy and just go with regular turkey and cheese on wheat roll. Nothing special

10-11-2004, 07:47 PM
meatball with everything and the red wine vinegrette sauce :))))

10-11-2004, 09:12 PM
so the turkey and cheese on wheat is healthy for you? i always thought they weren't healthy no matter what it was.

10-12-2004, 01:31 AM
Yeah, I'm pretty sure no sub is "healthy". That reminds me of Rich Vos' joke about Jared from Subway:

"This guy lost 200 lbs eating subs everyday...what was he eating before that? cars?"

In any event, my favourite is the roasted chicken (double chicken).

10-12-2004, 01:35 AM
I like the soup

Subway is good for bulking...I used to work there a long ass time ago. If it doesn't say 6 grams of fat or less...it probably has 50-60 and damn near 2000 calories (such as the meatball footlong), and an assload of protein. The cold cut trio is insanely high in calories...and the tuna and turkey stuff is good in protein as well.

I always loved the chicken terriyaki...when I worked there I'd always put 3 times chicken they allowed and just make it dripping with sauce...mmmm.

10-12-2004, 05:01 AM
my favorite would be steak and cheese..... but if I ate there now I would have roasted chicken breast or turkey..

10-12-2004, 05:25 AM
The club with Red Wine Vinegrette

10-12-2004, 09:26 AM
i really love ALL their subs :drooling:

10-12-2004, 10:21 AM
My favorite by far is the BBQ Pork Rib (which they recently brought back) but its a "Local Special" so I'm not really sure which subways actually carry it.

10-12-2004, 11:03 AM
foot long, honey oat, double meat, grilled chicken with Red Wine Vinagarette and all the veggies, vinegar, and pepper. yum. It ends up being close to $10 though.

10-12-2004, 11:12 AM
I like the footlong roasted chicken on wheat. Its pretty plain unless you add some southwest sauce for a nice kick. I used that for a good amount of protein, and it will help you not stay lean because its only 640 calories and 10 grams of fat, cheese and sause not included.

10-13-2004, 02:13 PM
I like the meatball or chipotle steak when bulking... but there's really too much saturated fat to eat them frequently. The meatball with barbeque sauce is awesome!

For cleaner choices I'll get turkey breast, roasted chicken or teryaki chicken.

Ahhhh...the days when I wasn't dieting! I MISS MY SUBS! WAHHHH!

Vote #3 for the double meat chicken breast on wheat.

I always use to get the Turkey Breast and Ham but my wife would make fun of me for getting the same thing. I'm not one to try new things but decided to impress her so I got the Sweet Onion Chicken Teriaki and loved it.... Now it's the only one I eat.

10-19-2004, 11:43 PM
Roasted Chicken, honey oat bread, lettuce, tomatoe, cucumber, onions, jalepenios, banana peppers,'generous amount' of mayo, pepper and double the cheese.

10-19-2004, 11:50 PM
I was partial to the cold cut trio.
Used to be 3.89$ for a foot.
2 feet was mandatory, the 3rd foot was always optional ever since I was like 16

That was back in the day when they knew how to cut the bread by cutting a v outta the tops...thats by far the best way to make a sandwich I've ever seen...seems like back around 2001 they stopped doing that:( at least near me

that place ownz

10-20-2004, 12:00 AM
Yeah, I never understood why they changed the way they cut the bread. Now everything falls out all over the place.

10-20-2004, 12:15 AM
My sub awlays breaks on the other side of the cut and its just a nighmare of a mess, end up using my fingers for all the veggies. Rather Frusterating .

10-20-2004, 05:04 AM
I enjoy a turkey and roast beef, double meat, all veggies, and dijon horseradish. :drooling:

10-20-2004, 05:43 AM
anyone tried these new "oven roasted subs" seems they are trying to to cater to quiznos customers now... haha

10-20-2004, 10:17 AM
funny you should mention that Ryuage, I live in a pretty small city (35,000 people or so) and a few months ago we got a new place called 'Toasties' (probably the equivalent to quizno's). And it was built RIGHT next to the main subway we have here, and now every subway (theres 5 or 6) has the toaster oven

10-25-2004, 12:36 PM
I love their club salad. Big F*ing salad.

Ill have that once and a while when im cheating.

10-25-2004, 12:39 PM

10-25-2004, 12:44 PM

10-25-2004, 01:22 PM
hrmmm salad on a cheat... =\

Well its loaded with ham, cheese, bacon and ranch dressing. Not something Id usually have in one meal. :)

10-25-2004, 04:06 PM
ok so can you have any subway sandwich and it will still be somewhat healthy for you? I had some roastbeef, ham and turkey i think that was toasted on whole wheat with a small dab of mayo.

10-26-2004, 08:24 PM
You can request they cut the bread the old way. They will give you a ****ty ass look, but theyll do it =)

10-26-2004, 08:50 PM
ok so can you have any subway sandwich and it will still be somewhat healthy for you?

No. Chances are it's going to healthIER for you than most other fast foods, but it's still not a great choice of food. That being said, a lot of it depends what type you get, what type of bread, and what you put on it.
