take em together.
IMHO you'd probably be better off taking a liquid fat with a liquid protein.
otherwise your whey is gonna be digested and in your intestines before the pb is even outta your stomach

imo you'd want slower proteins for bed time. and since doesn't casein sorta congeal in your stomach it wouldnt even matter?

PB First. The fat will slow down the digestion of the whey.

Interesting...I was under the impression that liquid fats did nothing to slow down the absorption of liquid protein. That's what I've always heard/read anyway.

Unless it takes you 6 hours to drink your whey it doesn't matter. You're talking about consuming two things within minutes of eachother, I'd say you probably have more important things to worry about than that.

Oh, right. I have it usually after a workout.

That's exactly when you DON'T want to eat PB...you want carbs and protein after a workout, not fat.

Damnit, I always eat PB after my workout, I throw it in my shake. Not sure how I'm going to go about consuming that much PB pre-workout now. I hate it on sandwiches, especially natural PB.

ryan, you shouldn't take it pre-workout either. Take your fats AM/PM, I'd avoid taking them pre/post workout by about 2 hours.

PB isn't the be all, end all, of fats...
you can get cleaner fats that are easier to digest like olive/grape seed/flax/hemp etc that can give you the same mono/poly with less sat and are cheaper and easier to store...

Thanks geoffgarcia, I'll do that.

edit: I didn't read the rest of you post. I'm also taking Flax Oil and just started eating/drinking/whatever Olive Oil.
