View Full Version : Can you look at my diet?

I made a post on the Training board and they said my diet might be the culprit. Could you take a look and tell me what you think?

Meal 1 - 7am
Protien Shake

Meal 2 -9 am
Cereal with a pint of Skimmed (non-fat) milk

Meal 3 - 12pm
Low Fat Mac Cheese with a can of tuna mixed in.
Small Roll with half a tub of low fat cottage cheese

Meal 4 - 4pm
Small Roll with half a tub of cottage cheese
Pint of Skimmed (non-fat) milk

Meal 5 - 8pm
Post gym protien shake

Meal 6 - 10pm

2 Chicken breasts with oven baked low fat "chips" (English thing, like french fries not chips as in Lays)

I work this out at about 3000 calories and 260g of protein.

I am 27 and weigh 160 lbs. and I am 5' 11.

and how many grams of carbs/fat are u taking in?

Yes I am bulking and carbs I have no idea. But with the bread and chips and mac cheese it must be quite high.

As for fat roughly about 60g a day. Mostly unsaturated.

Your diet looks abysmal. It's hard to tell you're trying to do anything with that, honestly it looks like something I'd imagine someone with no interest in bodybuilding would eat. First of all, lose all the crap in the diet, mac and cheese, french fries, freedom fries, chips, whatever they are lose them. Next I'd advise you start your day with an actual meal, eating whey on an empty stomach when you wake up is pointless. I'm presuming since you don't list milk with your shake you're just having whey and water, which is an even worse choice. You're getting zero good fats in that diet and your choice of foods for just about every meal is poor so if I were you I'd completely overhaul your diet. Look up some other posts on diets here and take a look at what people are eating on their bulks to give you an idea of some better meals.

how do you get 260g of protein and 3k calories from that?
are you sure your adding it up right? it doesn't look like more than 1500 calories there...
I suppose it all depends on how big a tub of cottage cheese is...

i think he could get 260 grams from that diet....

point is if you arent gaining eat more.

Then eat a lot more.
