So, uh, I'm that weird guy Deathwish's friend from high school and now college. I won't say where we attend, but, uh... HOOK 'EM!

*ahem*

Anyway, I've been working out off and on since around February. Since August, I've been able to keep a routine... more or less.

Today's work out: chest and back. For some reason, we changed things up and used dumbbells. *shrug*

Dumbbell bench: 2x8x25
Deadlift: 1x8x95 (Hadn't deadlifted before, and I decided to quit after one set to make sure I didn't screw anything up.)
Inclined Dumbbell Bench: 1x8x20 1x8x22.5 (realized this was rather light and so I increased the weight)
Pulldowns: 1x8x75 1x6x87.5 (that last one was a bit too much...)
Flys: 1x8x30 1x6x30 (I always manage to screw something up here)
Assisted Pullups 1x8x10 1x6x9 (be it known: the assisted weight isn't 10x(# of plates) as I previously thought)

Arms: 11 1/8" R and 11" L
Chest: 37"

Today was arm day.

Curls 1x8x45 1x8x50 1x7.5x50
Tricep Extensions 1x8x40 1x8x45
Preacher Curls 2x8x45
Push downs 2x8x50
Military press 2x8x35
Shoulder press 1x8x10 1x8x12.5
Lateral raises 1x8.5x10 1x9.5x7.5

And now for some self-criticism.
I think the curls went well, though it would've been nice to knock out that last rep.
Tri-extensions: I have a feeling I could've done a few more pounds.
The shoulder exercises didn't exactly go well. I had some major difficulties doing the last reps in the last three exercises.

Not a terrible day in all. I'm usually happy when I get a good solid pump and make it last the entire workout.

Chest and back today.

Benchpress: 2x7x80
Deadlifts: 2x8x95
Inclined Bench: 1x8x70 1x7x80
Rows: 2x8x70
Flys: 2x8x30
Back Extensions: 2x8x70
Assisted Pullups: 1x8x10 plates 1x2x10

Quite a few incomplete sets today. We started pretty late; I was hungry before we started. Not exactly a good combination of factors.

Ah well, if there were no failures, how could we measure success?
