I have been living off this along with Muscle Milk, whey, cereal, natty, and veggies. I am bulking and I have gained a lot of weight using these foods. I know roman isn't great for you but it's simple and it helps pack on the mass.

And I think you mean Ramen noodles. They aren't the greatest source of carbs, but if it works for you, have at it.

Lotta MSG in the flavor packets. I really don't know where MSG fits into the diet as far as bulking or cutting goes, but with all the bad print it gets, I tend to try to avoid it.

When I make the Ramen noodles, I put the noodles and flavor packet into the water for boiling. Then I drain the water out. Most of the salt and MSZG drain out, but the noodles still ahve some flavor. (I personally like the beef flavor)

best to boil the noodles alone first because most brands have them coated with wax. last time i'd just put half the packet of seasoning.. but i've stopped eating instant noodles because of the high amount of fat and sodium and msg in there.

If you want a cheap pasta alternative, use rice. Go to an oriental food store and buy a 50# bag for like 10 bucks. Then invest in a rice cooker ~30$. You just put in some water and the rice, push the button and a little while later you have a whole pot of rice.

The beauty part about it, though, is the warming feature. Just push the "warm" button, and the machine keeps the rice warm and moist for about three days as long as it is covered. Whenever you run out of rice, just make another batch and you're good to go for antoher couple days.

Ramen noodles --> tons of trans fat (like 5g the small pack), tons of MSG, tons of salt, and it is high G.I.

In my opinion it is pure crap.

Yeah..its 8 cents a pack for a reason. It's bad for you. Don't eat it unless you can't afford better food....
