View Full Version : "Refeed": When are they necessary for biological and not psychological benefits

Ok, let's say I'm consuming 1650 calories on average per day. This is fairly low. I'm planning on eating like 3500 every 7-8 days just to give me some energy. This isn't really a cheat day for me since I'm still eating clean... I guess I can liken it to a mini bulk every week just to keep my strength up. I'm just wondering if this is actually physically beneficial, or can I eliminate the cheat day and eat 1650 calories until I finish my cut on December 1 in time for wrestling season

well, theoretically you will need to have refeeds more often if your body fat is low.

At your weight, I don't see why you need to be dieting down.

well this is my last wrestling season and I just want to be the lowest I can go. Of course I plan the bulk of my life after season ends.

i would think the last thing I would do during wrestling season is go on a cutting diet... would just hinder performance, unless trying to drop a weight class of course.
