Is it OK to have energy drink post workout????
Sometimes, I have to go straight to school after workout, so I can't go home and have a protein shake, so is it OK to have Monster, or Red Bull etc. after workout???

I agree with Ryuage. Important to get that protein in post-workout.
Sometimes I freeze my shake in the shaker before taking it with me so its still cold later.

Not to hijack the thread, but what about eating in particular about 10 to 15 minutes after a workout?

I would if I had any protein powder, but I meant with lack of powder.

You'd be better off with something sugary but not an energy drink.
Caffeine has a negative effect on protein synthesis. I have a few studies kicking around that explain the mechanism, but I'm at work right now. Gal is pretty studied on this, if I remember correctly. This was one of his pet projects a while back.

In an ideal situation, avoid CNS stimulants around the workout window.
