I currently weigh 165 and would like to reach my goal of 180. I took sometime off from lifting and when i was lifting there for about 8 mnths or so i didn't train that incredibly hard i saw good gains guessing from protein as far as weight gain but what is the best protein and creatine mix for putting on mass. Just wanting some input. i was thinkin about BSN's no-xplode and nitrix stack along w/ 200+ g. of protein a day .????what do you think? would i see much of a actual gain in weight or is it more for pumps and some strength gains?? is 3 months on creatine and a high protein/calorie diet and hard training be possible to see a 15 lb gain??????

You have some good goals, 15 pounds in 3 months is definately doable. Supplements wise, I say some sort of Whey product to make sure you are getting in enough protein. A creatine product would work well, and also, you might want to try ZMA for recovery. The most important thing is a caloric surplus of about 500 calories a day, and to be hitting the iron hard.

As salah said, the most imporatant thing to gain weight is a surplus of calories. Supplement wise make your priorities whey, weightgainer, creatine. Those are tested and work on everyone(creatine works on almost everyone)

One thing I discovered on an earlier bulk is that, depending on the types of foods you eat, you can easily meet your protein needs through your regular meals. More often than not, I found myself not needing to have a shake. On those days that I did need a shake, it usually meant that I probably didn't eat enough food to begin with.

yup at 165 you shouldnt need to spend any money on anything cept a multi vitamin.

maybe creatine and some whey protein/dextrose for post workout

for the most part you should be able to meet all your calorie needs with food alone at your body weight.

its when you start hitting 200+ with a fair amount on LBM that shakes are handy cause you will probably need 3500+ calories a day depending on your goals and your metabolic rate.

real food is where its at, and not mcdonalds either, Im talking oatmeal, tuna boiled eggs, almonds, black beans, brown rice, salmon, veggies, fruits, and such
