anyone? I'm purely interested in slow burning carb aspects of these breads and their benefit in weight lifting.

Whole Grain sounds better :) BUt I agree with Ironmover - both are good.
I eat Orowheat Health Nut Bread which contains some seeds and nuts mixed into the bread.

Whole grain simply refers to a grain that hasn't gone any of the processing to remove it's outer layers (which happen to contain almost all of the nutrients,) whole wheat just means that the wheat grain still has its bran and germ layers intact.
