I was curious if any knows if I should add the total fat per day or only the bad fats? I'm adding fat grams,carbs,protein and total calorie intake. I need about 2300 calories 38 grams of fat. For instance peanuts have 15 grams of fat for 19 shelled. But I think 12.5 grams of those fats are healthy. Should I add the whole 15 or just the 2 1/2 bad fats to my total intake??

Fat is good for you, even saturated fat.

Fish oils are best.


ON EDIT: If it has calories, it "counts," if that's what you're asking.

Saturated fat is very unhealthy!! I understand calories count but their are healthy fats and bad fats. Do I count both or just the unhealthy ones and wear in the world did you hear that Saturated fat is healthy??

they both contain the same amount of cals y would u count it

The body uses it for energy and to produce hormones, like the other fats. It's when they are going unused (too many calories) that they will raise your LDL levels. Nothing to panic about if you are eating at or below maintenance calories..

I should ask, what do you mean by "counting" fats? Either they're going into your body, or they're not.

Saturated fats on the whole arent exremely good for you, but they def. have their benefits- too much of them is bad.
i dont understand what you're saying about counting them.. maybe in terms of ratios? well in terms of ratios or anything else, count all fats.

Yes count all types of fats. It doesnt matter if they are saturated or whatever. Count them all.
