Background info:
I play football and I'm a junior in HS. I'm 16 years old am 6'2 and weigh 220. For next season, I'm trying to get up to 245. I'm mostly focusing on my diet and lifting. I am tracking my diet on www.fitday.com. Here's my stats:

This eating like crazy diet is working! I'm up to 223 already!

So my workout was full of fun and pain. The guy a work out with popped a blood vessel in his head while benching so he didn't work out with me, but I got an official spotter! This gave me a lot more time to do things that I usually can't fit in.

Today was my off day. I played some speedball, which is a combination of soccer, basketball, hockey, and handball, today. I still weigh the same 223 from yesterday. I didn't eat breakfast this morning because I was full from eating so much last night.

Your a big kid for your age...got Mauri or Samoan in you? heh.

I notice you do alot in one day, e.g Legs, back Biceps...careful not to drain all your energy out, i suppose if you can manage it and still get the results you want then its ok (every body's phsyical structure is different) but you dont want to exaust your muscles and end in an injury...Either way, your making some strong moves man, keep at it and good luck!

dam nice work bro...I am on the rode to 245 myself, actually about to pass that and now setting my heights for 300lbs

were the same height too, but dam you got awesome numbers for the legs bro'. we got a lot of same strength......

only sucky part if your half my age heh

Yea...I started working out about 3 years ago too. Coaches want you to be the biggest you can possibly be by the time you are starting.

Dont worry about failing the class though man, your health comes first, if you feel your doing to much and/or risking an injury, that could stuff u up for the rest of your life, then stop doing it...Because to the school your just another number, and if u injure your self, or do something to your body that will hurt your career, they will forget about u within a blink. Just remember that, and nice work out too man.

I don't think I'm going to injure myself in anyway, but sometimes I feel my muscles just get enough rest. It's nothing too serious.

Yesterday I started my bench work out then decided to max out.

Bench:

255x1 this was hard so I just stopped going up.

I might have been able to have gotten 260, but I did more than I usually do to warm up for a max and was tired. I realized why I wasn't gaining weight...I DON'T EAT ON FRIDAY, SATURDAY, AND SUNDAY!
Look at my diet yesterday...it's pathetic.

I really have to concentrate on eating on the weekends, eventhough I don't lift weights on the them. I'm already up to 225, but I know it will get a lot harder. My dietary stats for today are a lot better than yesterdays, but still not as good as they are during the week.

This is what I have eaten/plan to eat for today so you can critique me on that.

Breakfast (around 12:30 kept it light): Waffle
Brunch (around 2:15, still kept it light): Yogurt
Lunch (around 3:30, Huge): Large Quiznos Misquite Chicken with Bacon, 2 pieces of pepperoni pizza, large chocolate chip cookie, close to expiring protein bar.
Dinner (mid sized 7:30ish): 12 oz steak, brocolli, Baked potato with butter
Dessert kinda (around 12:30-1): Weight Gainer, Peanuts

DUDE you already as strong as some of the beast at my school :bow: (sept i think they squat a little more :D ) by the way what position do you play. I play d-line and Oline but trying to get to line backer and tightend. :strong:

Right now I play Offensive Tackle. I was thinking after my senior year I would cut like crazy to about 220 and maybe walk on as a line backer on a practice squad in college.

My squat should be more, but I made a huge mistake at the end of my sohpmore year I got 365, so I decided when I maxed out I'd get 385 no matter what. I was sooooo close to getting it, but I couldn't. I tried about 4 times, and after that, I was done. So I'm guessing now I could do 385, but I couldn't get anything that day.

Height 6' almost 6'1

I got really sick recently and lost 15 lbs, thus why I weigh the same now as I did at the end of sophmore year. I also gain a lot of weight in the off season.

Not even close. One of my friends he's probably 5'11 and weighs 220. Benches a predicted 385, Squats 500, and power cleans 250. Next year I won't be the weakest person on the O-Line, but I will definently not be the strongest (eventhough it'd be awesome if I was). There are a lot of big people on my team. Our starting line this year has a guy who's 6'6 300lbs eventhough he isn't very strong he can move well for his size. We also have a 6'1 280 lber who squats 550 and benches 300 something and powercleans 275. Our team is actually really big even in positions other than the O-Line and D-line.

AY WEY thats crazy but ive seen no one yet compare to my uncle yet his senior year he was benching 455 squating 600 and deadlifting 760 and all this just weighing in at just under 200 pounds..... OOOH YEAHH:hump:

Wow. I'm already up to 228 I must have been eating like **** before this gain. I felt amazingly strong today.

ahhaha Crazzzy lifting, i like visiting this journal...I wish i took lifting seriously when i was younger...Think i could of been doing hectic numbers too. If i lived in America, i would of played football no doubt...although i am only 5'10-11 (think thats too short)

I didn't do crap over the thanksgiving break because I'm lazy. I did eat a lot, but I'm not sure of what so I can't put it in my fitday. We lost in the state semi finals yesterday in the Georgia Dome. :cry: . I went by GNC and got some creatine and i'm going to start taking tomorrow. I'm also going to lift weights after school as a continuation of my last period weight lifting class, so I will get more done. I'll update this with my workout tomorrow.

I slept like a baby last night. I was so tired from that stupid test. I ate pretty well yesterday which made me happy because I don't eat well on the weekends for some reason. Hopefully this will continue and I'll get to my goal in a few more months.

Wow. I'm eating like crazy today I'm already up to 4000 cals without my huge shake. Tell me what you think of this diet.

Meal 1: 1 cup oatmeal, scoop of whey
Meal 2: 3 pieces of pizza, large glass of milk
Meal 3: 2 hardshell tacos, 2 enchiladas, 2 burritos (Thank goodness for cheap mexican restaurants...This meal cost me $10!!)
then soon to be had
Meal 4: 2 scoops whey, 1.5 cup milk, Peanut butter, cup whole oats, banana

I usually eat one more meal but I woke up at 12 today. Oh well I got all my fats cals carbs and proteins.

Ok the thing in between you rest the bar on your chest then push it over your head and down a little bit then pull the bar back up to your chest. It kills your triceps and some muscle in your back that I can't pinpoint right now which one.

My triceps were huge after this. I got one of my best pumps ever today. I have been real sore lately. Maybe the creatine is getting me to do more reps and more weight and that's why? Who knows. I feel great.
