Are egg beaters just basicaly egg whites? Also if they are homogenized and pasteurized can you just drink them.

it should say on the label. The ones that are yellow are usually 98% egg whites. They add vitamins and flavor to them. There also is the 100% egg whites ones. I drink liquid eggs 100% egg whites every night before i go to bed. It's pasteurized so it should be safe for drinking :cool:

They are pretty expensive. A pint which was 15 egg whites is 5-6 bucks. A dozen eggs is .90 cents. Much cheaper to just use regular eggs and take out the yoke.

I do buy eggs also but only for cooking. I get the eggbeaters to drink for a quick protien meal and not have to worry about getting sick.

$4.29 for a pint in my local grocery store. I use em with ww bread, cinnamon and sugar free syrup for french toast :drooling:
