Hi guys,
I'm lifting heavy 3 days a week, push/pull/legs. 5-8 reps.

I'm also doing Mixed Martial Arts & Brazilian Ju-Jitsu 4 evenings a week.

Running and Swimming for 30 mins on the other 2 evenings.

1 day complete rest from exercise.

Here's the problem:

My job requires that I spend approx. 2 hours walking, 5 days per week.

Is this good or bad? I could get out of this, but it'd be a lot of hassle.

Any advice?

Thanks in advance!
Mike

Hey man. I'm in the same boat as you. Working out, karate, and working construction. From what people have told me, it's fine as long as you eat enough. I find that I get burned out pretty easily if I let my diet slip, if I don't get enough sleep, or I work out too hard. Hope this helps

Walking will do little to stop your gains. I climb Iron all day and walk around platforms and walk down yadda yadda. Buddy of mine has one of those little "mile mates" and he averages around 6 miles a day, and I do just as much if not more walking then him.

Walking can be used as a good form of active recovery if you have extreme cases of DOMS.
