All I know is I had almost a whole BIG bag (we're talking 400-500g) of corn chips once, and then a few hours later I played a game of indoor soccer, and I was FLYING. It was awesome. I'd recommend them if you're planning on doing any endurance sports etc.
As for good or bad, I'd say they're pretty complex carbs for the most part. So they should be reasonably good. I think. For some things, anyway.
