She is 13% and wants to drop that. She is 165cm tall and 45kgs...she's slim but wants to slim down and show some of her stomach muscle. I told her she should eat CLEAN and cut the calories (Even though she really doesn't eat much in the first place) and then do cardio. Is this right?

Ya... 13% for a woman is like <6% for a guy. Unless she's got NO chest, the only way she shouldn't be showing at least obliques is if they simply aren't well developed, or she lacks the genetics.

Women have to be at a very unhealthy BF% before they will display a full 6 pack, and even then it's rare. Remember, that shape that makes her attractive to males is in large part due to where she stores her fat.

im with everyone else... im surprised she isnt showing some sort of abs already... although it's different for everyone that is exceptionally low for a female.

yah, and if she doesn't then its only because she hasn't developed them, so have her do weighted ab movements if she is so inclined...

Has she ever done any abs exercises? Weighted? If not, then there's the problem. A couple of weeks and they might be there at that low of a BF.

22% is considered pretty fit and healthy for a female. 13% is like near 7% for a guy. wow. lol.. Got any pics

I can ask if she will let me send a picture. We have pics on the PC...but nothing that can really show her stomach, but you can get an idea of what she is up against. She has exercised in years...genetics keep her thin, but she rarely eats properly or that much. So I guess the first step is AB workouts. SO...what kind, and how often...ANYONE!??

In the meantime, I will convince her to post a pic

she has that low body fat without working out? she must naturally have muscle also. wow.. she's blessed.

BUT...she doesn't workout at all, so she has no muslce. You figure if she just started doing ab excercises it would show up sometime soon

usually to have that low of body fat you would think some of that would be lean muscle cause you could be anorexic to the bone and still be 40% body fat.

I trained a 15 year old boy who was skin and bones the other day. He was 13% body fat but for a girl that seems very low. I think a pic is definetly needed here.

You figure if she just started doing ab excercises it would show up sometime soonif she hasn't worked out and has no abdominal muscle base to build on then I'd figure it would take at least 6-10 months of proper form, good diet and adequate intensity to get any kinda results...dont expect miracles in a matter of weeks...

Or you could tell her to bulk up, add 20 pounds, and then cut. The abs will be there! LOL
