Does anyone know? Would 5lbs of human fat fill a coffee can? A shoe box? I'm just curious. I seem to recall reading somewhere along time ago what 5lbs of human fat was equal to an it was a huge motivator. But I can't remember.

it looks like about 1/10 of my stomach:(

I'm not sure but it's probably alot. Fat is not very weight dense. It certainly is calorie dense though. = O

density of human fat = 0.9g/cm3
density of water = 1gm/cm3

1 gallon of water = 8.34 lbs
1 gallon of human fat = 7.51lbs
1/2 gallon of human fat = 5 lbs

Thanks Geoff!

Your science is tight!

how is it that half a gallon of human fat is 5 lbs but 1 gallon is 7.51?

density of human fat = 0.9g/cm3
density of water = 1gm/cm3

1 gallon of water = 8.34 lbs
1 gallon of human fat = 7.51lbs
1/2 gallon of human fat = 5 lbs

So it's better to have 1 gallon of fat than 1/2 gallon? WTF with that math? That's like saying 1 pound of fat = 1 pound, but 1/2 pound of fat = 3/4 of a pound.

Your math is not tight. It's ATFU.

5lbs of human fat is pretty much the same as 5lbs of any animal fat, so find a picture of a 5lb tub of lard.

What the heck is ATFU?

All Totally F'd Up? hey, Vido I'm still trying to decipher "Woot" !

someone please explain Woot

and that math does seem a bit odd..but you baffled me with all the cubed's and stuff in the beginning, so it's still tight nonetheless

Ryuage, aren't you in the military? Never heard stuff called "ate the f*ck up"? It's used when something is really messed up or not right. At least we used it in the infantry.

Isn't 1/2 of 7.51 = 3.755...errr...hrm

Picky picky.

5 pounds of human fat would be (according to JG's science and basic correct math)
0.66577896138482023968042609853529 gallon :D

That's 2/3rds of a gallon for you Rotcies.
That's a little less than 3 canteens for you rotcies from California.
