Eating carbs before bed is NOT a problem, dammit :)

I'm tired of hearing this :)

My weakness at Italian places is chicken breast over angel hair pasta with a white sauce.

Yummy, and relatively decent diet wise.
What blows it for me is I can't stay away from the garlic bread :drooling:

Relax bro... you're 14... you're not going to blow your training with a couple of good solid meals... even a couple of meals like that a WEEK would not be bad for you. Your metabolism is running in overdrive right now.

hey i'm sure you're right, cause i don't know jack about nutrition yet...but i DO know a guy who went on a diet where he ate whatever he wanted, but after 7pm he ate no carbs..throughout the day, he ate carbs, fast food..whatever...but after 7, he only ate carb-free, and he ate whenever he wanted up until bedtime as long as it was carb-delete...anyway..he lost 40 pounds over about 3 months..can you explain this?..i've alwasy wondered how he did it

Well, he was either not very hungry during the day, or he was doing some unreal fat burning activities during his waking hours. There is no magic. Eating the carbs just before bed will do no more harm than eating them during the day. In fact, when I do have a high carb day, I eat my carbs in the last meal before bed, on purpose.

Get the fat-free pizza with extra pepperoni and cheese. It's a great nutritional choice and right before bed your body won't convert any of that to fat because it'll keep your metabolic furnace stoked all through the night. Make sure it's a large though. You may want to consider getting jalapenos on there to give you a serving of veggies.

maybe I should go with the xlarge... and if I get the 30 pc buffalo wings I will get a good amount of protein right?

Let me caution you that you need to balance your carb intake too so if you're going to get the wings, get the cheese covered garlic bread also. Make sure you get the cheese to get a good calcium boost. And don't get a diet soda, why get a soda if you're not going to get the full calories from it?
