View Full Version : What should I eat post-cardio?

I know this question has been asked before, but I never saw a straight answer. My cardio is like this: 5 minutes of jogging, then alternating 1 minute hard running and 1 minute light jogging for 25 minutes.

Do I need simple carbs immediately, or should I wait 30 minutes to let the fat burn continue?

Right now I usually have an apple, a cup of nonfat yogurt and a scoop of whey (in the yogurt), or something like that.

Would tuna and vegetables be better? Oatmeal maybe? I'm not sure if I need simple or complex carbs...

Doesn't matter whether they're simple or complex. Just eat protein/carbs, no fat...same as after a workout.
