View Full Version : Which is a better breakfast?

Alright, this is a kind of tedious quesiton, but i'm the kind of guy who likes to pick something and stick with it, so give me your opinions on which is a better breakfast (which is also my pre-workout meal):
-2/3 cup oatmeal
-1/2 cup yogurt
-400 calories, 35g protein, 47g carbs
-2 slices Ezekiel bread
-Canadian bacon (low-fat)
-1 slice low-fat swiss cheese
-415 calories, 38g protein, 52g carbs
I guess the biggest difference is the source of carbs (bread vs. oatmeal)

The second one because it is tastier and has more calories.

I dont know what ezekiel bread is but I'd go with the first one just cuz of the oatmeal, it's healthier. Plus the whey protein is quick digesting, which is what u need in the morning after up to 8 hours or more of not getting any nutrients in your body.

:offtopic: Doesnt Ezekiel mean 'whom god made strong'? Or something along those lines? I have a t-shirt with that on it :)
Ok now back to the topic. I would go the first one because of the oats.

Isnt it bread that is supposed to be made almost exactly like bread was in the time of the bible? Ive seen it at stores and its always in a freezer case. Sounded pretty good to me.

i would go with the first one because i LOVE oatmeal. NOT. i would say go with the first b/c i know oatmeal is good for you and if that other bread stuff is from bible times, than i'm guessing it is pretty moldy

neither have enough calaries for bulking if thats your goal,
breakfast 1 and 2 for me are at least 700 cals each, and im light.

Well I'm only 130 lbs, so my calorie needs are a little lighter than most people who are bulking.
