So the nutrition facts I've looked at for sweet potatoes are like this:

-1 medium (114g): 100 calories, 24g carbs
-1 large (180g): 180 calories, 40g carbs

But when i was at the grocery store, the smallest sweet potato I weighed was about 300 grams! That's like one and a half of these supposedly "large" ones.

Am I missing something?

not really, potatoes in general are calorie dense... well at least in my perspective cuz I like to eat.

But my question is, does that mean the smallest sweet potato I could find at the store had over 300 calories in it? Why would all these nutrition facts call "180g" a "large" sweet potato when you can't even find any that SMALL?

Try buying organic ones? My sweet potatoes average about 140g I find.

There are some small ones, but the serving size is exaggerated. I guess not much people eat whole sweet potatoes, so they just half. You can weigh the small ones to find 140 cals or whatever.
