My routines consist of a mixture of bodybuilding and powerlifting. Right now I've been doing 6 sets with 10 reps on my compound movements like squats and deads. I'm going to drop them to 8 reps per set in a few weeks and add a little weight. My question is, would I benefit more by doing fewer reps for the power exercises and keep my isolation movements at 10 reps? I'm progressing well enough but I think I could change things up and maximize my efforts. Any thoughts?

Sounds good to me as it is similar to how I train if I ever do isolation movements. I rarely do isolation movements though, but if I do thats what I would do.

I do something sorta similar. Except i do low reps on power movements(1-5) and any rep range on isolation(usually 5-12)

How many sets would you recommend if you're only hitting a few reps per set? I'm doing 6 sets right now at 10 reps, as mentioned.

i usually do 3-6 sets on accesarory.
might be 3 sets of db rows or 2db rows and 3 chins etc.
