View Full Version : How to make protein powder taste better?
I have this Protein powder, called " MyoPro Whey" they say it was previously called SImply Protein. It is the chocolate flavor and this stuff does not mix with a spoon in a cup, unlike this other brand I had a year back I dont remember the name of it. Anyway I tried mixing it in the blender, it eventually did, tasted it and almost threw up. It taste pretty bad mixed with milk. Is their anything else I should be mixing it with? ANy other way to making this taste better or did I screw up and I need to get a different product?

That's odd, I used to use myopro myself and I thought it was decent. Of course this was a year ago, maybe they've changed the flavor since then. It didn't mix well at all though, which is why I got rid of it.

personally I've found MyoPro to be one of the better tasting chocolate proteins out there. Few proteins will mix with a spoon...that's why God created shaker cups.
Lol, I tried the banana, it masks the bad tatse, so I can down it but then when I get to the bottom portion of it, just way too much and I cant take it. Tablespoon of penut butter, I'll try that but that just seems odd to add it since its so thick, I was thinking water wouldnt want to dissolve it as much as milk? I'll just chuck in half a banana, cup of water, scoop of protein and try it out with a tblspoon of penut butter. Thanks for the help.
You know what really works well? A fork. It's 100x better than a spoon. I've found that, anyway. You can whisk it around without losing half the contents of the glass over the sides.

Nah go to GNC and get one of those mixing cups. You shake it and it mixes it up really good so its not chunky at all. then just drink it man. dont worry about the taste so much, just man up

I use ON Whey Protein (Strawberry Flavor) and it tastes really good, especially mixed with milk and even just mixed with a spoon. Makes a nice froth in a blender, too.

I mix it with water... drink up. I dont think people really buy protein shakes for the taste (I mean it couldnt hurt if it taste good) unless you are drinking like 6 of them a day just chug it down and next time try buying one that you like. Or even buy unflavored and just throw in some juice or sugar free kool air/crystal light

Or you could go to a supermarket and get the same thing at a fraction of the cost.

The ones at the supermarket cost about AU$3. The ones at GNC were about 4 to 5 times the price. Guess where I went? :)
You got a good deal.
