View Full Version : Help with pre-workout meal...

I usually workout about 90 minutes after breakfast. Recently I've been having:

-2/3 cup oatmeal
-half scoop whey
-half cup nonfat yoguty
-egg white omelet

Comes out to be around 400 calories, 35g protein and 45g carbs.

Is this too heavy for a pre-workout meal? (This is pre-lifting, not pre-cardio). I'm 130lbs by the way, if that matters.....

I would up the carbs a bit. You need them for energy during your workout. Go for a whole cup of oatmeal and maybe a banana or some other fruit.
