my mom bought me this creatine from wal-mart and wanted to know if she took it if it would do anything. if you don't know curves is like the machines are hydrolic and it's not heavy lifting. she wasn't sure if it would do stuff since it's not heavy lifting she's doing. and i didn't know what to tell her

She would hardly benefit at all from taking it.

Get her diet in order, and some light cardio I would imagine.

Why does the cardio have to be "light"? My problem with telling people -- unless they're injured or something -- to do something "light" is that they will probably undercompensate.

I would tell her to reduce complex carbs, eat whole foods, try not to drink too many calories (i.e. soda, booze), and do moderate cardio.

My tips would be:

~Cut out carbs after 6
~Drink water instead of soft drink, booze etc when you get thirsty
~Cardio before you eat anything in the morning(A jog round the block for example)
~Taking incidental exercise seriously, eg. using stairs instead of elevators.

I don't think she'd benefit much from taking Creatine. It's more useful for giving you more energy right before a lifting workout.

ok i'll tell her. she usually drinks iced tea unsweetened that she makes herself is that still cool or should i tell her drink water instead of that. she sucks at drinking booze anyway so dont' have to worry at all about that. thanks guys.

and that creatine she bought me is fruit punch flavored and i looked on the back it has like 33g of sugar. is that really necessary

Why does the cardio have to be "light"?

I suggested that because I didn't know her physical fitness level, her age, any injuries she may have etc.
A better response might have been 'a level of cardio that you are comfortable with'. But then again, people could also under-compensate with that advice. It's a personal thing.

You could have saved money by buying just normal 100% creatine monohydrate, and then adding dextrose or maltodextrin yourself post workout.
