1 lb of chicken breast (no skin) = 100 g protein

I have heard nothing but positives about At Large's Nitrean/Opticen.

My favorite at the moment is ISS Micellar Matrix (vanilla). I'm very impressed by the texture, quality, mixability, and flavor.

If you are feeling saucy, mix 1 scoop into 8oz of fat-free plain yogurt. It's impressive!

I haven't used many different brands, but Nitrean is by far the best. Lately I haven't been using a shaker or blender - just pour 2 cups of milk in a glass, couple scoops of nitrean, and mix with a spoon. It's just like chocolate milk. :D

If you can't do it or don't like blending, I can tell you NOT to get the 'Pro-Rated' brand protein you find at WinCo and Costco.

I always found that the Optimum Nutrition brand from 1Fast mixed very well without a blender.

Yes, I use the Optimum Nutrition 100% Whey Protein (Strawberry) and it mixes fine with a spoon or shaker. I find it to be quite tasty.

I could be wrong, but I think the "thickness" of a shake is something that companies do on purpose by adding guar and xanthum and other gums.

This hides what can sometimes be a grittyness that can come with plain protein powders, it also keeps them in a suspension longer.

If you aren't into this kinda stuff then why not just get your own proteins and mix them yourself? its more cost effective.

who cares what it tastes like, well I don't, yesterday I put PB on a bit of chicken breast to finish off my cals, it was gross as hell but it did the job

Nitrean is very tasty...reasonably priced...and mixes totally with a shaker bottle...thats about all u can ask for in a protein powder...

I tried a sample packet of syntraxs new blend matrix 5.0 it mixed fairly well with just a spoon, no clumps or anything was a tad sweet though

this one brand i just bought called iron tek has essential protein, the vanilla cake and cookies and cream are pretty good. ive found that its pretty hard to screw up a chocolate protein powder. stay away from most vanillas, and dont ever buy berry flavored stuff, i did that accidentally, i wanted to kill myself every time i drank a shake.

Optimum nutritions vanilla or chocolate don't taste bad but I don't take it for taste. This world and their sweet tooths

Nitrean is great and has a better biological value than those others. it has casien protein in it along with whey. Read the article "Bedtime Story" on the front page if your confused.

Way to hijack the thread. lol. Eat as much protein in grams as you weigh and no need to eat more. So say you weight 170 lbs. Eat 170 grams of protein. That will be plenty.
