View Full Version : How often do you eat?

I try to eat 6-7 meals a day. I eat every 2.5 hours or so. However, today, the routine was going fine, but about an hour after meal #2, I got voraciously hungry. I hadn't done any intense cardio or anything this morning, so I couldn't figure out why. But, reasoning that my body wouldn't be demanding it unless it needed it, I ate anyway (a handful of almonds and some turkey breast). So the question is: should I really eat anytime I get hungry like that? Is it possible to eat too often as long as they're good calories and they fit my macro plans?

i would eat whenever you get hungry. i don't see a problem. if you were overeating you wouldn't be hungry.

i eat at:
breakfast 6:50
Lunch: 11:45
snack: 2:30
prewm: 3:30
postwm/dinnner: 6:15-ish
snack: 8:00
sometimes bedtime: 10:00

yeah school sucks. no food OR drinks from 6:50-11:45

usually every 2-2.5 hours. i wont let it go more than 3 hours no matter what. only when i sleep do i go more than 3 hours without eating.

I try to keep to a set meal plan, if i ever get really hungry then i have something filling, like oatmeal.

I try to eat every 2.5-3 hours and 6-7 meals but it gets hard if you wake up too late. It's important to not over sleep. I am never hungry cause i'am always eating. If your a bodybuilder or have certain fitness goals you have to realize it's a life style. You eat to live or eat to reach your goals, not eat because you are hungry. I have zero appetite.

Hunger has a big pyschological element, it's not just physiological. If I ate whenever I was hungry I know I could easily go over maintenance.

I wish I could eat every couple of hours, but school and wrestling prevent that.

I do:

8:00 AM - Breakfast
1:00 PM - Lunch
4:00 PM - Dense Snack
9:00 PM - Dinner
12:00 AM - Dense Snack

All the time, I'm either eating a meal, drinking a shake or snacking (nuts, fruit, small stuffs).
