I took creatine sometime around july for a few weeks (GNC brand... waist of money) and i never had any problems. But a week ago I started taking Cell-Tech. So I loaded for 4 days (20 grams/day) and at the end of the loading I started having a sharp pain under the side part of my right rib. I knew it wasnt a pulled muscle by the way it felt and it would hurt when I inhaled or streched... moved... whatever. I went to the docter to make sure it wasnt a Kidney infection (always good to be safe) and it wasnt.
But anyway, the reason I'm pretty sure it was the creatine is because my sisters boyfreind had the same problem when he was on it. And I was wandering if anybody else has these sort of problems
I never heard of anyone with that problem.
My suspicion is that you were dehydrated.

I've never heard of that sort of thing in relation to creatine.
The way you describe it makes it sound like something was strained or sprained, maybe even bruised?
Maybe you were dehydrated like Adam said.

Drink more liquid.
Abdominal pain, shin pain and leg pain are actually quite common with creatine and is usually due to you not drinking enough water.

Instead of taking creatine, invest that money in real food. You'll reach your goals quicker that way.
I might be wrong but your stats led me to think this.

Don't load. That could have possibly added stress or your kidneys. :read:
Eating can make you fat too!

Bruise Brubaker, I've only been working out seriously for about 6 months now, I started out at 5'11'' 120 lbs., as of tonight im at 170 lbs. So thats about 50 pounds in six months, trust me I EAT and I completely agree with what you said. I just thought I'd take creatine for about 8 weeks for an extra boost.
