So ya im out of bootcamp and currently stationed in Corpsschool in Great Lakes, Il. Anyway i dont start clases for at least a month so ill be doing little jobs, ie shoveling snow ect, for the next month or so. I currently look like **** so i need to get back in the game. I hope to come out of school at around 200. I dont give a **** about bf. I will be pting several times a week so im just gonna crank up my food intake. Ill be eating several meals in the galley, 2-3 protein shakes a day, 1-2 bars, and probably a lot of mcdonalds. :thumbup: because thats more calories. I wont really be able to cook my own food because the barracks i live in only has a microwave. I hope to leave here 200 around 15 percent bf. Routine scheduled will be upper lower off upper lower off off.

Feel free to spam, / clutter my journal. Thats how i like it.

hehehe, going to 215 sounds excellent. With your high metabolism, you likely won't at that much bf, under 15 for sure.

No need to cook, just down those shakes, add some carbs to them for extra calories and boom, massive Nick at 215! ;)

haha thanks for the support guys. Basic wasnt really physically hard at all. You had to run like 4 something pushups, 60 situps and run the mile an a half in 12 15. I did 91 pushups 90 situps and ran the mile an a half in 10 58. The enviorment is what sucked. Plus i was there for christmas new years and thanksgiving. But its cool, it is just one of those things ya gotta do. Now i just need to get ****ing huge. I picked some workout clothes and shoes up so im ready to go. Tomoro im gonna do an upper day

thanks everyone. Decided to just stick with a real basic 3 day split instead. Basically a push pull legs split. Im still not sure if i want to incorporate deads and squats into this or not. Im leaning towards not, because i think that those two along with a bent over row is over training my lower back. For now i think ill stick with deads, and do 45 degree leg press sled as my main leg excercise. I chose this for a few reasons, mainly being that i really wanna get into some serious pulling, plus my new gym has a whole deck for deads and even has free chalk. Once i get my dead up i may switch but who knows, i dont even like squats too much anyway.

Todays workout was depressing as hell. Ive lost a **** load of strength. Weighed myselft 166.5 in my drawers and socks. Got a long road ahead but im up for the challenge.

Finished it off with a 3 part drop set on pushdowns. Then 10 minutes on the treadmill at a good pace with a 3 minute cool down.

This workout obviously sucked weight wise compared to my old condition but i could actually feel the strength coming back so im sure ill be up to par within a month.

Don't let that **** get to ya man. I was the same way for there a bit, and the weight I was using just constantly caused me stress. You'll work through it, and be back to ya big ass swole self soon. No worries man.

I know what that's like, I took about 7 months off from 2003-2004. I came back and couldn't lift sh**. I was completely back to being a scrawny little twig again (I still can't lift sh**) - but I'm a hell of a lot stronger than I ever was before I took that break. Don't worry man, like lilmase said, keep on truckin'. It comes back faster than you think.

Yep Nic, I'm going to have to catch you one of these days. I was up to BW + 75lbs for 5 dips, but this new split has me at a much lower weight. Your dip strength is insane bro. Just more motivation for me lol.

ugh, i just keeep going back out. I got off work yesterday at like 3 15, then i shovelled for a couple hours. Had maybe 2 hours or less off and started again for a few hours. Then got off for maybe 45 minutes and went back at it till about 10. Then went to my room and crashed. Then got called back up this morning and had to get up at 430 and go for another couple hours. Now im off aghain and waiting in the lounge to see if its secured for a couple hours. If i can get a few hours off today ill go to the gym for my lower.

Btw, i did fall about 5 times in the last 24 hours ryu.

My goals for this routine is to gain a good 30 lbs. Id also like to improve my dead to the mid 400s. I prefer dips, as a chest excercise, but i am also going to work on my bench because i think i have the potential to be a pretty good bencher.

Finished with a couple light quick sets of seated calf raises followed by one heavy slow paused set super setted with bw calf raises for 20 reps each side. The heaviest set on the plate loaded calf raise was 4 plates.

thanks guys. Ya those hacks made the crazy clanking sound. I kinda like the hacks because i know im getting the depth i want. Gonna do an upper session tonite. Ive replaced the machine shoulder presses with close grip bench. I chose this because i dont wanna be doing 2 shoulder presses, and cg's are a good compound excercise i like.

I also liked the netural pullups, i think ill start doing them. Low point of the workout was how ****ty my pullups have gotten. When i think back to repping +70x6 it makes me sick to my stomache.

Bw today was 173 in shorts and shoes. ****, im a skinny bitch.

And that was that.

Looking in the mirror i feel like look the biggest i ever have. MY lats, chest, quads and most of all arms have been doing well. My arms have increased since i stopped givbing them any direct work. I expect theyre around 16 inches right now.

Some key things that happened during this last week were i pulled 315x5-6 reps whch is pretty good for me. Im still hping to pull mid fours plus in the near future.

I do need to get back on a stricter diet but im not so sure im even going to. My abs are not visible unless i flex them, but i really dont give a ****, since everything else is getting bigger.

Good workout until the ****ing standing mils. This is the first time ive ever done them. There was no leg momentum at all tho. Idk, i just thought that id be doing more, as ive always had a pretty good seated db military press. I guess theyll get better.

Im liking my upper lower split. Basically gets me working with weights 2x a week, with the low volume i love. Im convinced this is the best way for me. Today in the mirror i actually felt pretty big. I cant get over my arms when theyre pumped. I have no clue where they came from. Also since i started being loyal with the dips my chest has grown. Im liking my progress. Id like to take some pics in 10-15 lbs. I think yall may be pretty impressed.

On another note, today we had a prt weigh in to see who had to lose weight. Im currently at 11-13 percent bf id say. Abs pretty visible when flexed. Well i weighed in and the guy said im within 5 lbs of being over the weight limit for my height. He said i should try to lose weight. lol. **** that.

Just a question conerning your routine. Is it generally only the last set of each exercise that you take to failure?
I definantly agree with you about low volume. i've found it's been working best for me at the moment too.

stack, to be honest i go by how i feel on each set. However i do go to failure on one set of each excercise. Sometimes its in the middle, sometimes the end, ect. From now on ill post which one is too failuure. And gf, keep the hummers coming. We gotta get this journal interesting like the last

thanks guys. And i think i pulled my lat doing some bent over rows. Its a good excercise but i think i got a little sloppy when doing the 205 a while back. Its cool tho, ill stick with pull ups for a while.

ohh **** ive been so bad about updating, and i have to pay to get on the comp. Im basically on navy time from 5 15 to 4 30 and then i have this cleanup **** at 6-8 or so so im gone back to a mentzer style hit just so i can fit in working out. Basically lifting every 5-7 days. hehe, I remember back a while you told me you were doing 70lb DB's for shoulder press and I was like "holy **** thats awesome", well I am finally doing 70s for shoulder now. You still do have a few pounds on me though, I wish I had a scale here so I could weigh myself, all I know is im eating everything in sight :smoke:

LOL, the pull ups were so sad. I was done. I did 20 on firday and now i got 5.

Good workout, really liked the chest work, best chest pump ive had since i can remember. That first miss was pretty funny actually. I racked it on the lower ones. This dude came running up and i was like im ok im ok. He looks at me and goes your using weight thats way to heavy. So i took a break and did the same thing 5 more times. Whatever, he was right, i shouldve had a spot.

Anyway hope everyones good.

So today i just ****ed around with a variety of deads. Sumo, sldl, and rdl's. It was fun. Did some calves and abs, and some light quad stuff also.

Im hearing something about a push pull comp coming up so i may start training my bench, and working on getting a somewhat decent dead. I dont know, i gotta hear more bout this comp first.

****, 170 if im lucky. I been pting like crazy tryng to get ready for field med school in august. Its a marine corps fun school to train you to be a field medic with the maries. I got my orders with the 2nd marine fssg in camp lejeune so maybe some body here is from n carolina. I should be out there in about 6 weeks.

Im also tinking of entering a bench comp when i go home on leave. Prolly complete at 165. Well see.

ok day i guess. On duty this weekend. Ill prolly do my de day on mon, possible tuesday. weight was 169. Doing a decent job getting down to around to low 60's. Id like to stay lean and around 160 because i have this field school coming up where ill be carrying like a 50-70 lbs loud for 6 plus forced marches and **** so im working to stay leaner, get stronger, and better my endurance. Its going fairly well so far.

i wouldnt bother, i did 20k road marches with that much weight I just made sure I had munchies in my ammo pouches and I wore a camel bake with some gatorade/protein :) 6 miles aint to bad....
