Bland bean

I'm poor. Dirt poor. I've been eating a lot of beans and rice. Any recipes that are good? And what beans are best? I use brown rice in my cooking. As for now, I've been using pinto and black beans. And recommendations for spices?

I like black beans and chili beans personally. As far as recipes I have none of those. However, I like to add cilantro, salsa and canned jalapeno slices to my beans.

I use all those too; but also for an occasional differance; I put green olives.If salt is not a concern for you.
